Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British composer and vocalist. Harry Styles was one of the founding members of One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in which he started his own group of musicians with 3 schoolmates, which was named the White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their impressive performances they were winners. He was always interested in music, but also wanted to work as the profession of a lawyer, physiotherapist, or even scout. He worked for a time for a short time in a bakeshop in his city and hoped to assist financially at home. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His song Is not She Lovely was recorded by Stevie Wonder. This is why his group had to separate. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join a future band that would be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The formation of the group began in 2010, and the five members were sponsored by Simon Cowell. The group sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart at the time of the contest. This made them one of the frontrunners to win the competition. The band was in the third place behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle which took home the prize. Harry Styles was not the winner, but Cowell was a millionaire as part of a deal for One Direction.
