Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19th of 1946 Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of living through her vibrant and far-ranging imagination. Before she could write or read and compose her own songs. Once she had her first guitar at age 8, she started to perform on radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee. That same year she made her debut recording for Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. In high school, she made her name in the local community, yet she yearned for a larger stage. When she graduated from high school in 1964 she immediately moved to Nashville. Her first charting hits on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer for his show that was syndicated from the beginning. Parton was hired in 1967 and signed by RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. Parton left the show however, in 1974 because her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums. Parton, after the split of their relationship with Wagoner she wrote the song"I Will Never Love You and had it reach the top spot at No. The first time it reached the top spot was in 1974.
