Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor, director, producer and professor in St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's dad is from Britain and her mother is is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her perform in play rehearsals. Her appearances in commercials were numerous in her early years. In the month of November, 1999 Anna relocated to Toronto to advance her acting career, eventually shifting into Los Angeles, California, during the decade that followed. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, at an actor's workshop. They got engaged in 2009 when they were married. Anna, who had converted to Judaism in the year before, and Seth Cooperman were married in December of 2010 in Fredericton.
