Amy Smart has been a model, actress, as well as a former American. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. She made her acting debut in the year 1996 with The TV production Her Costly Affair. It took a long time for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller role. It was very difficult when she had to change from modelling to acting as the models were never considered to be good actors, and they were usually assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy did her best to get noticed and she eventually landed larger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy then moved into leading roles in 2005's love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained recognition after more than ten years struggling. Then she went on to work in several of the most famous films including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played a recognizable character.
