Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19th 2008) was an American theatre, film TV, and voice actress. [1] Pleshette started her career in the theatre and then began to appear in films in the late 1950s. Later, she made appearances in major films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). She also appeared in numerous television productions, often in guest roles. She also was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, receiving several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January in 1937. The parents of her were Jewish as were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage director at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
