KingBennett was signed to Durk's label Only the Family after his collaborations with Durk. In the end, he adopted the stage name of King Von in order to make his music debut, his debut single "Crazy Story" was released in December 2018. The song peaked at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 32 on the Hot Rap/R&B Songs chart. It gained millions of views on YouTube. Von made a sequel single, "Crazy Story 2.0," on May 19, 2019. This sequel features Lil Durk and is a remake of the original. Another sequel or remix, "Crazy Story 3.0," made its debut in September.
